[Blindtlk] app recommendations

What apps I would recommend would depend on the work setting and/or
educational setting. For example, if you are attending a large
college, they often have their own app(s). I'll give you an example. I
plan on transfering to Louisiana Tech University next year. When I do,
I'll download their Moodle app because that's what platform they use.
HEre at Wake Technical Community College, I am using a Blackboard app
because that's the platform here. Beyond that, what sorts of functions
are you looking for in apps? Like if you work in a store, you might
want Digit-eyes, which is a barcode scanner and labeller. You could
use it to scan products in a grocery or discount store (like Wal-Mart)
to know where products are to recommend to the customers. If you are
working at an international company, you'll probably want the Skype
app so you can make those international calls. Need to make to-do
lists on a daily or weekly basis? Listo is a great list maker that,
when you check an item as done, sends the items to the bottom of the
list as complete. There are so many apps I could recommend, but I
really need to know what you want to do with the app. (Oh, and an
alternative to Pages is an app called Write 2, which also can send
your text files into your dropbox from within the app).

Feel free to write me offline if you want, or we can continue the
conversation here so others can hear about the different apps they may
or may not know about.

Sincerely yours,
Jewel
