[Blindtlk] Recording using the computer's built-in mic and webcam

Hi there,

I'm in a situation where I'd like to record some short videos of myself for
someone else to see and give feedback. This helps for music lessons. I
know I can do this via my IPhone, but for that to happen, I'd obviously need
a sighted person here to help me do them.

What I was wondering was whether or not there's a way of doing it with my
computer, using its webcam and microphone. I do some video calling with
Skype, and for those sessions, the person on the other end lets me know if I
need to move the computer or screen a certain way so that they could get a
clear picture of me. I thought perhaps I could do something similar when it
came to recording videos. I figured once the screen and camera were
positioned, I could use some kind of program to take the video of me playing
my instrument and then I could send the video to my friend.

Skype wouldn't do it, I know, but is there one that would work well with
JAWS?

So much is done with video or pictures these days, and honestly, it's hard
for blind folks to keep up with this unless there's always sighted help
around.

Thanks for any recommendations.

Jim
