It depends on what the term "loner" means.  That seems rather 
ambiguous to me.  Do you mean that more blind people are 
introverted? Do you mean that blind people generally don't have 
very many friends? Do you mean they never go out in public, or 
when they do, they don't talk to people?

I have found that there are certain social barriers that come 
with blindness.  Some of these are the result of sighted people's 
discomfort, and some of them arise out of blindness itself.  (For 
example, navigating certain kinds of parties can be difficult for 
blind people, because of loud music or a good deal of moving 
around in unfamiliar environments.) Like other things about blind 
people, I think you'll find we are a cross-section of society.  I 
myself am fairly introverted in large crowds; I am more 
comfortable interacting in smaller, more intimate groups of 
people.  I have no idea how much of this arises from my blindness 
specifically and how much comes from my overall personality, and 
I consider it kind of pointless to speculate.

It all depends on the person, sometimes because of lack of 
training or mobility etc, some people in general might be loners.
Or they have family that won't let them go out and learn how to 
use a computer or meet people etc.  Afraid we will get hurt or we 
don't know what we are doing.
We are lucky here.  Some are not as lucky as we are.
