[Blindtlk] Flat Screen TV Size question

I love Descriptive Video. I think in a lot of instances you can figure out
what's going on if you pay close attention, but not always, and I think
Descriptive Video can add wonderfully to your sense of what is going on.
But I like surround sound too, so maybe sometime we'll have the best of both
worlds.

Subject: Re: [Blindtlk] Flat Screen TV Size question

I am totally blind and watch more TV than my husband. He is legally blind
but a pretty high partial. He says the bigger the screen the better. We
have a 58 inch TV down in our rec room and he loves it. We have a 46 inch
in the living room and 26 inch in our bedroom. He can see them all but when
he watches the big one, he can see the blades of grass and the ball during a
baseball game. He can sit at least ten feet away from the larger flat
screens. He gets closer if he has to read something on the screen. I love
the one in our bedroom because size doesn't matter to me. I am a TV
addict...lol. I also hate descriptive video because it ruins stereo or
surround sound with dialog. I am a strong believer that if you pay
attention, you can fuigure out what is going on. Good luck.
