But remember NFB has the one and only WTOE Network, www.thruoureyes.org which has been in existance for over 8 years.
We have 4 shows each month on Wednesday Nights (hosted by NFB Family Members throughout the Northeast) at 8pm Eastern which is live and you can call in at 1-888-572-0141
On all different topics, from the Echevarria Travel Show, hosted by yours truly (from NY) the 1st Wednesday of the month. I discuss all forms of travel, and have suppliers and clients come on the show of why blind people should get out and travel.
the 2nd Wednesday of the month is On the Bright Side with Gerald Moreno Sr, (from NC) and Jane Degenshein (from NJ, she is also Joe Ruffalo's Sister), where they discuss uplifting stories and have guests each month and laugh all the way through.
the 3rd Wednesday of the month is Thru Our Eyes with host Joe Ruffalo (president of the NFB of NJ), who discusses all NFB and other blindness related topics governmental to just interviewing different people throughout the NFB.
the 4th Wednesday is Looking Good Without Looking hosting by Linda Zani Thomas (NFB of NJ) and Johanna Baccan discussing whether you are blind, sighted, for men, women, children, etc about looking good, what the latest styles are from clothing to jewelry and cosmetics, to how to pack for a trip, etc.
Plus other shows that follow us who are not NFB members but have topics from
>From shows dealing with Cancer "the Show Facts and Fallacies".

Subject: [Blindtlk] the Blind Matters Radio Show

I want to let everyone know about a talk show which originated in Orlando 
and now is syndicated in several radio markets. It is called the Blind 
Matters Radio Show and is hosted by Michael and Lynne Golder. It is the only 
show of it's kind in the United States. It started in Orlando a little over 
a year ago. Michael has not been blind all that long, so input from some of 
the rest of us who have is good. They also have guests which they interview. 
They are also looking for sponsors. Lynne does a great job interviewing. I 
am hoping that some people in the outlying markets will start to call the 
show and that this e-mail will cause their listenership to pick up. They air 
Saturdays from 3 PM to 6 PM EDT and are streamed as well. Here is the 
information.

First syndicated radio show of its kind in the country..an all talk show 
catering to the visually impaired and the blind. Entertaining and 
informative.
Laugh and learn with Michael who is legally blind. What makes this show 
unique is that the host, many of the guests and some of the advertisers are 
also visually impaired or blind. We value your input and ideas.
