I'm one of those people who sticks to the good old-fashioned NFB metal tip.
Seems to me that this tip is pretty good in all kinds of conditions.

The cane tips I cannot stand to use are the nylon tips. They stick in to
cracks on sidewalks and are worthless in snow and grass.

I also forgot to point out that a roling tip doesn't ware out nearly as fast
as the other cane tips. I often have a tip out live my cane.
