You get an Iowa cane by calling the Iowa department for the blind, and
ordering one. They can not process credit cards for some unknown reason, so
they will send you the cane, along with a self addressed envelope; you place
the check in the envelope, and send it back. I believe the cost is something
like $25 or so.

The Iowa canes are exactly like the NFB canes but solid fiberglass. They are
incredibly durable; however, they are quite heavy. To the best of my
knowledge they only have a non-collapsible mottle.
