[Blindtlk] Getting a new cane?

>From a Board member, I think it's about time we put this whole thread to
bed. I've been deleting its messages for days now and it is obvious to me
that Peter's opinions, if not his attitude, are different from those with
which we NFB members by and large agree. That is his right. However, since
we've all known this for days, why is this news? And it is also obvious to
me that his mind won't be changed. So why are we wasting our time? It's long
gone beyond the information-giving stage. ENOUGH ALREADY!

And as for typos, it would behoove every last one of us -- especially those
who use speech or magnification as opposed to Braile displays -- to check
our messages over carefully, running a spellcheck on them and still reading
them again -- before sending them. In other words, we should look upon our
electronic emissions as resumes (which they well might be these days),
rather than casual chit-chat.

Now, let's go on to something else such as, perhaps, whether blind beggars
in China during the Middle Ages had an effect upon tea prices!

Was he joking or not? Carly's message implied tht he was, but Peter's and
Glria's implied that he wasn't.

Peter,

No one here is putting you down.

Can't a person even ask you a question without you being so thin skinned
about it?

Judy wasn't putting you down. She simply asked you a question.

Have a good day!
