Sherri,

Unless things have changed very recently, you can still order a cane over 
the phone.  However, I think if you order a free white cane, it must be done 
on-line.  I remember doing that in late December, and when I brilliantly 
left it in my parents' car, actually purchasing one over the phone from the 
Independence Market.

A friend of mine tried to call the Independence Market to order a cane and
the person on the phone told him the only way he could order from him is
online. Anyone know about this? Some people still don't have computers or
might not understand the website well enough to make an order. I referred
this person to NFB, because I think they have the best canes. Any
suggestions? Thanks.
