[Blindtlk] Netbook With Google Chrome and Jaws 11?

If this is a so-called Chromebook, the operating system is Google Chrome.
JAWS won't work with that at all unless the operating system is changed back
to Windows. I don't know whether JAWS 11 works with Windows 7. I'm sure it
won't work with Windows 8. The hardware of this netbook might not be
capable enough to meet your needs. But I could be wrong about all of these
items.

Michelle,

The short answer to this question is that it doesn't work very well at all.
Although Chrome has improved somewhat, it is still largely inaccessible with
JAWS or any other screen reader besides its own ChromeVox plug-in. To answer
your second question, you can indeed remove Chrome by uninstalling the
program from your control panel. If you need help with this, let us know.

Hope this helps,

Chris

Hi All,
Just wondering how well a Netbook with Google Chrome will work with JAWS 11.
Naturally, I WISH JAWS 14 was in my near future, as in yesteryear, but it
isn't.
I bought that particular Netbook since it was the cheapest Walmart had and
later found out Googl Chrome was installed on it.

If need be, I can remove Google Chrome, can't I?

I'm not extremely computer literate, so I have to ask these questions. Lol.

I can turn one on and off and use it well enough to go on Gmail or Facebook
or Youtube. That's about it.

Thanks,
Michelle
