There is the old saying --- "you can lead a horse to water but you 
can't make him drink."

I think this is true of newsletters, you can e-mail, do RSS, put on 
web, phone, paper, CD, cassette, etc., and some people are going to 
read it, and some aren't.  Don't blame the vehicle, just make the 
newsletter better and more compelling and offer in a variety of media 
so people can choose what is the best for them.
