[Blindtlk] Microsoft Word Compatibility Question...

I don't think anything will work well with xp anymore since it's not really
supported any longer either. I just received office 2013 and it won't work
well with older speech software or magnification. programs. Otherwise it
works pretty well with windows 7. I will ask around, I think I have a
friend who still uses xp. I agree, if you can find a low cost version of
windows 7, do it. Make sure your computer has the space available to use
it though. It might be time to replace the computer. I am facing that
problem myself and don't know where or how to get a new one. I do
understand the Texas school for the blind has them refurbished and loaded
with all the needed up to date software for $100 and quite good. If you
decide you need something newer, that might be a good option. I think they
have both laptops and desktops. Don't quote me on that.

Hope I have been helpful, Pr. Klein.

Ericka

Hi all!
I also have Windows XP professional and Microsoft Word 7 works best. I don't
know where you can get it. You could try EBay and see if you can find it.
