I can tell you that when I was trying out the Nook, I was able to activate
my BrailleSense U2 with it.

The new kindle fire hdx is much more accessible than the keyboard.
I think I read you can hook up a bluetooth keyboard to it. I don't
have one to test that though.
Braille display I have no idea.
Speech only works for englise australian, british and united states. I
tested this out myself.
The tts voices are actually good. Better than the keyboard definitely.
I as I said was afraid of accidentally purchasing something. By double
tapping on what I wanted. And I did accidentally buy something.
I don't think the screen always coincides with where your finger last
touched.
But in doing this I found that you can cancel the order if it was a mistake.
However your method of payment is already charged. So if you cancel
it. Basicly Amazon refunds the purchase price. But I think you have to
cancel it right away.
So I guess be sure you are on the right item before you select it.
The kindle I have has been made into a family device. That way I can
get its benefits when needed. And family can use it at all other
times.
Anyway I hope this helps some of you.
Its a good device. My advice would be though get one you can borrow
for like a weel or so before ultimately putting the money down. If you
have and android or apple device. You basicly have almost all the
features in that os's app provided for that device. So you may not
need a kindle. Just a bit of advice.
