For a calendar I use Alarmed. AppleVis has a good review of it. Mostly I
use it for appointments, but you could set it up to remind you to exercise
or drink more water or whatever. It's super easy to figure out. I don't
think you'll need a tutorial. It's free and 100% accessible.

For household tasks I use Home Routines. It was something like $4 and is
about 90% accessible. It keeps me on track with the endless chores and
mundane things I need to accomplish around the house.

Subject: [Blindtlk] Organizing your Life: Calendar and Scheduling Apps

Hello All,

As my life gets busier and busier, I'm finding that my memory is sometimes
failing me in the area of my daily schedule and reminders to do certain
things. I am observing that many of my friends, both sighted and blind, are
keeping track of their daily appointments on their smartphones. However,
though I have an iPhone, I guess this is one area in which I have not fully
progressed into the 21st century.

I would be interested, then, to get some feedback from those of you on these
lists who are more organized than I as to what iPhone apps you use for
organizational purposes. If not an iOS app, what other system(s) do you use
for this? Outlook Calendar? Google Calendar? The good old-fashioned slate
and stylus? Also, could you direct me toward any resources which provide
tutorials on the use of such programs? Thank you in advance for any light
you can shed on this important topic.

Chris
