I was just thinking about that today while at firehouse. They are not accessible.

Weird question, but has anyone else used those new touchscreen soda dispensers? Our local Burger king just got one and it is not accessible at all! I can't see how a person in a wheelchair could even reach the screen.
I had no trouble with the old fashioned ones and they were low enough for someone in a chair. Sighted staff didn't like it either but tried their best to help. I have some sight and could tell where the circles to tap where but couldn’t read them, especially those higher than me. The printed prompts are in very small print and unreadable. I hate the fact my independence is gone. More fast food places are going to this because the machine takes up less space and offers more options for customers. Since it can only help one customer at a time I don't think it's practical, but we should have plans to fight if these machines are cost effective thus sticking around.
