Jim,

You can indeed group the people you follow on Twitter into lists. Once you
have created a list and added some people to it, only their tweets will show
up if you go into that list. This is handy if you, like me, are following a
lot of people and would like to only see certain tweets at certain times. I
have found that TweetList works best with lists on Twitter. To create a list
in the app, double tap that TweetList's tab father would buy the add button.
Then simply follow the prompts.

To my knowledge there is no way to send a tweet only to a certain list.
However, you may be able to send a direct message (DM) to a specific group
of people. Keep in mind though that a person must be following you before
you can send them a direct message.

Finally, there is unfortunately no way to remove someone from your list of
followers. Unlike Facebook, anyone can follow you on Twitter. This is mostly
harmless, however, as this only means they see your tweets and you do not
have to follow them. If you want, you can go into your Twitter settings and
turn on the settings which will protect your tweets. This means that if
somebody wants to follow you, you must accept that request before they see
your tweets. I had the setting turned on for a while, but I found it to be
somewhat of a nuisance and finally turned off. Now if someone follows me who
I don't know, I just will not follow them back. I have also learned to keep
my tweets devoid of any really personal information so those I don't know
won't get my personal info. This, however, is all up to you as the
individual user.

Hope this helps,
