Not a problem. Glad I could help. I have actually been using word before and had the settings change on their own, so it may have just been the program.

Thank you so very much for your help!!! I used your wonderful directions, and corrected the problem right away!

Last night I was trying to do some work, and I guess that I was getting tired. All of a sudden all the extra information was being read, and I thought what the heck did I do! LOLL

    Thank you once again!

Respectfully Yours,
James Kelm

Go to alt f t for word options d for displays, and tab over until you hear always show these formatting marks on the screen. Down arrow to paragraph marks and uncheck it.

Subject: [Blindtlk] MS Word, or Maybe A JAWS Question...

Dear friends,

I have accidentally done something to the settings on my computer, and I am hoping that you will be able to help me correct what I have done!

Firstly, I am using MS Windows 7, MS Word 2010, and JAWS 14.0.

I was in the process of opening several different Word files. I guess that I wasn’t as careful as I should have been, because I must have accidently hit a key that I had not intended to hit. Now JAWS is reading every “space marker”, “paragraph marker”, etc. It is giving me far too much information, and it is really distracting. It seems to only be doing this while I am in a Word document. It also reads more unwanted information when I am moving word by word, or line by line. It does not read all of the additional information when I am using a read all command.

I am relatively new to both Windows 7, and this later version of JAWS.
Can you help me to keep JAWS from providing all of this extra information?

Thank you for your help! Also I guess I should tell you that I have shut my computer down, but after restarting, it still gives me all of this additional information.

Respectfully Yours,
James Kelm
