I would also recommend the Braillenote Apex or the Braille Sense or the Vario or the U2. These are Braille notetakers that are like 
a personal data assistant for a blind person. They allow us to read books in Braille, and do tasks that involve word processing. 
These are handy skills for high school and college. The notetakers can be hooked to a printer so that students can print and turn 
assignments for a sighted teacher.
