[Blindtlk] Check Writing Software Ideas Wanted...

I use bill pay for everything but my rent check. It works great. You have to make sure that if an amount changes like the cable bill you get in there and change it in the program right away unless you pay it manually each month. I can do this all through the app. It is very easy and my Milwaukee based banks' app is completely accessible with voiceover. This simplified my life. Would never go back to signing checks even though I have enough vision to still do so.

My bank then processes the request and cuts a hand-written check on my behalf and mails it (no charge to me). I think most bill pays through banks now have these so you might check that with your bank. Typically you can do these as one time or repeated. Since my rent can only be paid with a physical paper check and has no electronic billing, I use this and it works great! It goes through your checking account just like a normal check would. It is standard for anyone, at least at my bank, so you do not need to have proof of a disability... for this to be done.

I am mainly looking for an accessible way to independently fill out the checks that I must send out each month for utility bills and such. Right now I have to have a sighted friend do my checks, and it would be really nice to be able to do them myself! Unfortunately a couple of the bills that I pay each month, will not accept electronic payments, so I have to send them actual paper checks.
