Hi Michael,

You can’t skip all Youtube ads but you can certainly skip most of them.

With the Mac at least, Voiceover announces the appearance of the ‘skip ad’ button a few seconds into the ad.  Pressing b to cycle through the buttons on the page will land me on the skip ad button, which is announced.  I have a Windows PC and I’ve no reason to suppose that cycling through the buttons using the letter b won’t yield the same results, but I don’t know if JAWS/NVDA/WE will announce the button’s appearance as Voiceover does.
