Hello All:

During our recent national convention I purchased a second-generation Victor
Reader Stream while Humanware was selling them at a discount. I have been
steadily working to learn how to use the new online services which were
unavailable in the previous version, and been trying to configure my BARD
account in the online services menu for some time now. I finally got it to
work this weekend and attempted to download a book directly from BARD to my
Stream. The book successfully downloaded, but when I try to read it I get a
recorded error message which says: "You are not authorized to read this
protected book. Please contact your library for more information." Am I
missing a step? Is there another step which needs to be taken on the BARD
Web site before my Stream is authorized to play books? Thanks in advance for
your help.

Thanks,

Chris

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
