Unfortunately you found yourself talking with the wrong people at Yamaha 
right from the get go.  You have to get in touch with the developer of the 
app itself to report any bugs.  You found yourself talking to customer 
service/tech support and most of them can only help you with the product 
itself not the app.  And as you found out the hard way, most of them no 
nothing about visually impaired products like Voice over or Talkback. 
Sometime's this is even true when you go to the Apple store.  You could end 
up teaching them how to turn on Voice over.

Within the app, see if there's anyway to report bugs and if so, go that way. 
However, if that option isn't there, call Yamaha customer service back and 
see if they have a contact for the developer of the app.  Hope this helps
