[Blindtlk] A Horrible Experience at Kmart

Shockingly enough, there are employees hired who cannot read. At our Albertsons, the first time I used this person for help in shopping, she honestly told me she could not read. I said, no problem, you spell, I'll help. She may not be able to read, but she knows that store like the back of her hand, is efficient, and delightful to shop with.

On the otherhand, at one of the Fred Meyers in Tacoma, they had this guy help me who had a learning disability that affected his ability to read print; he was also color blind, not good.

When I realized this, I thanked him for helping me as much as he had, said I had changed my mind, and wished to return to the customer counter, as I had questions. We got back to the counter, he disappeared, and I let the clerk know that I could not shop with him and why. She apologized, and the rest of the shopping trip was successful.

From what I understood of the circumstance she had told this person she was allergic to whatever it was. Every time they bought something she'd say does it have X in it? I don't know if the person was just saying no it doesn't because they didn't want to take the time or what as I wasn't there. But in the end she did end up with something that caused her significant problems.
