[Blindtlk] A Braille Note Apex Question

I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with such a frustrating
issue, Chris. I would certainly be glad to post to the Facebook
group on your behalf (or to give you the subscription info for
joining the email listserv), but having had a similar problem
myself in the past, I feel pretty certain that you'll need to
send the unit to HumanWare in this case.

Hoping they'll be able to get it back to you soon!

Lucy

Hi,
Thanks! Basically, after talking with HumanWare, they believe
the problem is that a pin is sticking in the display. Half of
the cells work while the other half do not.

I would contact that group, but I am actually (unusually:)) not
on Facebook.

Happy Friday!
Chris

Hi Chris,

While not all problems can be fixed at home, many can. If you
would like to share what's going on, perhaps I or someone else
could suggest potential solutions. You might also want to ask on
the BrailleNote users listserv or Facebook group.

Best,

Lucy

Hi All,
Has anyone here ever tried fixing their own Apex if it stopped
working properly? If so were you successful?

My BN has a problem that I want to have fixed (it still works
to some extent) with the problem.

Because my warranty is up, it would cost shipping plus an
additional $120 roughly just to have HW take a look and then the
repairs would probably be a couple hundred at the least more.
This is money, that right now, I really can not afford to spend.
Have a wonderful rest of the day all,
Chris
