[Blindtlk] [Blindly] Amazon Access: Reverting Back to Old Version?

Hi,
What you are seeing sounds pretty much like what I am seeing. It used to be optimized for screen readers where it was fully functional, had headings, and if you did a search, would show you around 20 results.
In its new version (a version that seems to be going back to the old version they used to have for screen reader and mobile app versions without being fully functional), when you do a search, you get five results at a time and no headings. Also, if you search for kindle books on the site, it claims they are not accessible in this version.
Interestingly, if you click on a search result, it seems to go back to the more optimized version, and then return to the less optimized version when you click back to the search results.
Hopefully, this is just a short-term glitch at Amazon's end and will soon return to its more functional version.
Happy weekend all,
Chris

Chris,
Are you going to http://www.amazon.com/?_encoding=UTF8&ref_=mw_access
Anyway, that is the link directly from the site. I just type in amazon.com/access.
When you get to the page, there are about 3 headings. They are related to things you've bought and such. However, if you control home to the top of the page and arrow down, there is a search box, and about 3-4 lines from the top, there is a link to open a menu. That then displays your account, deals of the day and so on and a little further down, there is the regular search box. Not sure how different that is from the past but I just noticed it the other day.
Hope that helps.
Bonnie

Hi All,
Just curious if anyone else has experienced this. The last time I went to Amazon's accessible site, it was working great with headings... Today, when I went there, it seems to have reverted back to the old accessibility site where there were only five items per page and no headings. Has anyone else had this experience? I am trying to figure out if this is something specific to my computer, Windows 7, JAWS 16 (latest version), or something with Amazon. If someone else would be willing to see if they are getting the same result I am, that would be fabulous. I have gotten the same result in both IE and Google Kreme.
If needed, the site is:
