Good morning everyone:

I am planning on a trip to Miami, I am going to be using the STS Able Ride
Program. I am going to need some advice on the service since each state has
their own program. I could use this. I am also putting this on the
blindtlk at nfbnet.org <mailto:blindtlk at nfbnet.org> ; so those reply can you
also reply to travelandtourism at nfbnet.org
<mailto:travelandtourism at nfbnet.org> , so all readers can participate and
learn from this experience would be great.

Okay here is my question. I am arriving into Miami International Airport on
November 9th at about 9 AM, I already called STS and I am getting my
service from Long Island to Miami to use the program.

I need to get to Port of Miami, which is the cruise lines no later than 11
AM.

Is this doable, are they reliable, I realize this is a shared ride, just
like it is here, but what is the likelihood of this coming together.

I would appreciate any advice on others traveling this way. I never used
able ride services in other state before other than my own, but I think I
should, to give my own experiences in this area.

We all learn something new every day from one another.

Thank you.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can have the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
