[Blindtlk] [Blindly] brailling or typing?

I hook up my unit to the phone via bluetooth and type away. My Galaxy sits
on the shelf above my desk. Some of our clients do best with texting, and
it takes only a couple keystrokes to access my phone's screen and start
typing from my Braille U2.

Well, I prefer qqwerty most of the time because the feel of the six keys is
different and I often miss dots, but I am leaning more and more back toward
the six keys because of the size. On my phone, though, I have to spell out
everything anyway.

For me, I am a fast typist anyway, but I can pretty much keep up with a
conversation if typing with a perkins keyboard, simply because of
contractions, single-letter words, and short forms.

Hi All,
Interesting question. One I am actually kind of curious about too as I
wonder which is most popular among the blind. For me, typing because I am
much faster so can be much more productive (i.e., my Braille Note is the
QTR. version by choice).
Have a great rest of the week all!

Hi all. I've been wondering, what do y'all prefer, using a braille device or
typing on a keyboard?
