[Blindtlk] Independent Living VS Amazon

Several years ago, I ordered a talking scale from Independent Living. It was 
a really good scale, but for some reason, suddenly quit working. I went 
online to check if they still had the scale and it is available for $69.95. 
They call it "the superior talking scale". They never say who makes their 
products. Anyway, my son looked on Amazon and found the same sscale for 
$37.99. It is the Myway XL550 talking scale. How can stores who say they are 
here to help the blind and disabled price gouge so much? I really like 
Independent Living and have purchased many items from them, but will be sure 
now to check alternative sources when I want a specialized item.
