It is a nice tool, and it's great that you can just fit it onto a key ring
and carry it with you. Actually, I had a situation today in which I went to
the store and gave the cashier a pretty large bill for a relatively small
purchase. But the people who own and manage this store know me quite well
and I told the cashier as I was giving her the bill what it was I was giving
her. She has the habit now of giving me the bills separately, so I can fold
and arrange them properly, and these are people who are totally trustworthy.

Well, the way around that now is to use the iBill or something similar
without fail. One of my job duties is to manage the supply store in our
offic, and I wouldn't be without the iBill.

As far as I know I have never been deliberately short changed since I have
been blind. I know of two times when I was told by the cashier that the
bill was not what I thought it was, but because I fold my bills I was able
to correct the problem. I think the short changing, maybe it should be
called long changing, happens more when the blind person is the cashier
such as in the Vending stands when someone gives the blind person a bill and
tells them that it is a larger bill than it really is. I know when I worked
for DSB I heard about this problem a lot.

Yeah, folks, but in all fairness, it happens to sighted people, too. The
majority of people are not going to do that to you because when you find
out, it doesn't look so good for them. I got ripped off in Target once, and
it was a long time before I ever went back there, but you just have to find
the bays to not let it happen ever any more. And people can make mistakes.

I have had it happen at an NFB fund raiser.
