[Blindtlk] Question about eating in public

Hi Judy and all,
In my eighth grade English class, my English teacher did a unit on etiquette and she taught us that you are not supposed to drink soup out of a bowl/cup at all, especially in a fancy restaurant. Then again, she also taught us that you aren’t supposed to bite into a roll with butter but rip little pieces off….I never do that. For soup, I eat what I can with the spoon and then drink the rest.
As for ketchup, I always ask for a small plate. I never have had an issue of someone not having a container of some kind. I have also put it on the same plate as my food. What I will do if I run out of room is eat my hot dog or whatever, then put the ketchup where the main course item was. Hope this helps.

It's gonna be really hard with a spoon, as you can't really very easily get the liquid to stay on the spoon. Trust me, I should know. Which leads me to a question I! actually have. I'll post it though in a new thread.
