So you don't eat the bread but get a different piece. I kind of like it
myself. LOL. Peas with honey? I missed that. I think I'd leave out the peas.
LOL. I would anyway though. They are not a vegetable I like.

never heard of the honey with the peas. Also, I've never though of using
the bread to keep the food on the plate; makes my bread taste funny. Never
liked the food mixing like that, but I may try it.

Wow. Very interesting, Bob.

I can't ever say I've had peas with honey, but recently, I did hear a
sighted friend of mine talk about using a knife to help eat peas. I'd never
heard nor done that before. I can't say I always was a fan of peas, but I
ate them.
I guess I always took the simple way out and just used a spoon because I
found it easier and less of a challenge to deal with them.

I've been learning a lot from this discussion. And, wow...Some of these
things I never thought of doing and maybe should have.

Hi all,
This talk of using a piece of bread or a knife as a pusher brought back a
very old memory from Perkins.
While helping us with table manners one of our house mothers would recite
the following poem:
I eat my peas with honey,
I've done it all my life;
It makes my peas taste funny,
But keeps them on the knife.
