[Blindtlk] Off list: This is exactly? why I refuse to join theNFB!

I have some light perception in the left eye. I recently dreamed I was
flying a small plane, and I was not aware of having any more vision than I
have in real life. But like you with your driving, piloting a plane just
seemed perfectly fine and natural, no problem.

Chris,

As you guys have probably figured out, these comments are not off list.
I've been there and done the same thing.

First, you don't even know if she is a member of the NFB. Also, if you are
only joining organizations where all
members are perfect, you won't find any. Even members of churches are not
consistent or always what one might
expect. I agree with you and others that her comment is out of line, but
you are looking at one response from a
list of hundreds of people and you've gotten several attempts at a response.
I will add one more attempt.

It is my theory that one cannot experience anything in a dream that you have
not experienced in real life. I had
light perception at one time and don't really any more. I occasionally have
dreams where I have light perception,
because it is part of my memory. However, I do have dreams where I am
driving down the road and in my dream it is
natural and safe. However, I don't really experience seeing anything that I
don't see when awake. In other words,
in my dream, I don't really experience what it is like to drive with vision
even though I'm behind the wheel. I
just somehow know where to steer.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson
