Good afternoon Mark and everyone,

	Both Mark and I went to Perkins and the Oak Hill School for the
Blind. I remember being taught to use a "Pusher" when at Perkins. Sometimes
we still do particularly when eating entrays with lots of gravy and juse. It
can be far healthier than bread and butter. My wife Mary found a salad
topped with achocolate syrup dressing simply delectable! All the best.

I went to Perkins also, and we were taught to use a piece of bread or a roll
as a "pusher." Now I just my knife for that purpose. Peas with honey?
Forgive me for saying this, but yuck, please don't make me gag, LOL.

Hi all,
This talk of using a piece of bread or a knife as a pusher brought back a
very old memory from Perkins.
While helping us with table manners one of our house mothers would recite
the following poem:
I eat my peas with honey,
I've done it all my life;
It makes my peas taste funny,
But keeps them on the knife.
