[Blindtlk] Question about eating in public

I have had pizza with a fork, especially if the crust is thick and the
toppings juicy, but I'm not much of a pizza eater anyway, so was a long time
ago.

When I was a kid, it was a given that you ate pizza with your fingers. I
usually still do that but carefully lean over the plate or box to prevent my
clothes from eating the pizza, LOL. But there are situations in which I
will eat pizza with a knife and fork. Again, what's the setting? And
incidentally, if I'm a guest at someone's house and I see that they have put
silverware next to my plate, unless they tell me differently, I'll eat with
the utensils. When in doubt, get the silver out.

I don't know about fries, but I have some friends who eat pizza with a knife
and fork. I had never learned that, and I had never heard of people doing
that until a few years ago.
