I would have this major time of telephone conversations and texts before 
actually meeting.  Also, and this may not at all be the case, but if he 
shows any hesitancy or procrastination fof further identity, red flag major.

I could go onto a dating service myself right now, make up a wonderful 
guy-name, and build a phantasy life, and people on the receiving would never 
know without any ID from me.  Granted, you have talked with him on the 
phone, he sounds nice, but the only thing you know is that you are talking 
to a guy.

Thank you all for your suggestions! I am definitely not going to meet him 
without a last name. I can't help but wonder why he doesn't have at least 
one profile picture. I have talked to him once over the phone, and I 
should've asked him then, but I didn't know how to. He seems really nice, 
but I have been told many times that I am too trusting. I really do 
appreciate all of the help, and I feel better about my next steps.
