You guys always have amazing insights to all my questions! So here’s my latest.
I’m thinking about my next project and would really appreciate your input. I want to create something meaningful and useful to guide and service dog users.
Right now I’m gathering information and doing a lot of thinking. Your answers to a few questions will help me out greatly!
You can email your responses to:
julielj at neb.rr.com
if you’d like to visit by phone please email me with a few choices of when you are available and your number and I will do my best to contact you. Please respond to me directly so we don’t clutter up the list.
Please feel free to share this as widely as is appropriate!
1. What is the biggest challenge you face as a guide or service dog user?
2. On a day to day basis, what are some of the struggles you have in regard to your guide or service dog?
3. What is something you wish you had known before you got a guide or service dog?
4. What did you hope your guide or service dog would add to your life and how has that worked out?
5. If you have or are thinking about owner training or adding additional tasks to a program trained dog, what do you desperately need to know?
And now some info about you...
Are you a guy or a gal?
Age?
Describe your living arrangements...house/apartment, big city/country, alone/live with a large family
What daily commitments do you have, such as a job, caring for children, or community obligations?
What kind of support do you have with any issues that may come up in regard to your guide or service dog?
What kind of guide or service dog do you have? (guide dog for a visual disability, service dog for a mobility disability, hearing dog for an auditory disability, alert dog for a medical condition, psychiatric service dog or something else)?
Is your dog from a program, owner trained, privately trained or some combination?
How do you most like to get information? Examples: email, phone, paper books, digital books, video, audio etc. Please be as specific as possible!
And if you still have time to answer more questions, I have one more!
What is one product or service you would love to have that would make life with your guide or service dog totally awesome??
Thanks so much! As a thank you for filling out this survey, I am hosting a telephone conference where you can ask me anything, connect with other guide and service dog users and win cool dog stuff! I will email you the call in info when I receive your email with your survey answers.
I sincerely appreciate your time! Thanks so much for helping me out with this!
