I've had this problem with at least 3 different versions of Outlook. In
every case, I've found that closing and restarting Outlook does the trick.

In my inbox, I don't hear unread in fron of the messages  as I move down the
list. do I control what is read in my inbox when I'm arrowing down through
the messages.  I've never had this proboem before.
