[Blindtlk] Keeping House Independently

I have a Miele canister that we have had since the girls were little, Sadie must have been around 7 when we purchased it, so we have had it for almost 20 years. It does have bags, but they are super easy to replace. The vacuums that do not have bags are great because you don't have that expense, but you are always cleaning out the dirt catches. For my vacuum, each box of bags comes with the filters that need replacing in the vacuum, also not hard to do. The only time we have had to have this vacuum in the shop is to repair a plug port, and another time, I had to replace the wand, but that is all.

Oh, yes, on another note. I rarely remember this, so my kind husband has taken on the job of replacing our furnace filters every 2 months. They say you should do this to maintain the unit, and another way to keep incoming air clean. He even has it on his calendar on his braille U2 when to change furnace filters. He also reminds me about scheduling for the duct cleaning, but we only have that done about every 3 years. Especially should happen if you have pets.

Besides being a former president, it's a brand of vacuum cleaner Justin. I have a Bissell. Personally I like the ones that don't have bags that need to be replaced but I have never been that blest to own one. I last used one in college. Bags are a pain in the butt.
