Yep, have had that, too.

I sure understand. I've also heard the rumor that errant socks sometimes ended up stuck under the bowl in a washing machine. Never verified this, though.

Well, the optimum of course was to have socks picked up, and most of the time the girls did, but one might show up MIA, been dropped from a laundry load, the dogs might grab one, one fall out of a gym bag unnoticed right away, whatever. It's the occasional one that would wind up behind a couch cushion or under the couch. Sometimes, one would come up truly missing. We would always claim it to be in sock-heaven.
Or, there's the scenario where you find a sock, does not look like your kids', and you find out it actually belongs to the girl that spent the night last night. Socks have a life of their own.
When the girls were toddlers we had a system of matching socks with outfits, but by the time they got in grade school, my sister told me she only bought white socks for the kids in school. What a relief, I started doing that, too.

Such carelessness was not tolerated in our household. In fact, we all had separate clothes baskets.

You dreamer you, especially if one has a busy household. (smiles)

It might not always be a question of laziness. Besides, if you aren't lazy, you would crawl around and make sure cords, socks, and sacs were all picked up.

LOL I wouldn't want one because this thing can't tell the difference between a piece of paper sack or anything else. It's just bumps into things. I can bump into things and eat socks with my vacuum cleaner plus good exercise. Why be that lazy?

From my perspective I bought a Rumba because I had to two dogs, a guide dog and a retired dog and two cats in the house and I wanted to vacuum my house a minimum of once a day preferably twice and I didn't want to take the time to do that. So the Rumba was an absolutely fabulous solution for me. Find out what you're comfortable with and go for it.

I used to have someone come in once a month just to help with things I may have missed, but I am debating whether to do this still or not. I did get some rehab training with cleaning, but I am not the best at it. My main hangup is using a broom, as I just can’t figure out how it is done. I just invested in a Swiffer so I hope that helps.
