I will never be a fan of dictation. I may try it once voice prompting
becomes as perfect as it is on Star Trek.

I understand. I go back and review what voice dictation interpreted me as
saying so as not to end up with double-entendres or misinterpretations that
might embarrass me later. (smile) I figure messages can wait for replies
until I have time to do it right.
Different strokes for different folks!

You know if I was sitting at my computer I would make sure I had no
mistakes. When I'm answering on the fly in the middle of doing my gardening
I'm sorry but mistakes can happen. Since I've been working all afternoon I
have 43 messages to me read so I'm gonna use dictate if I choose to answer
but yes essentially you are right
I often use voice dictation. If I have there's likely to be mistakes. I
apologize up front.

I am not the one who originally made the comment. However, I would aver that
were one sighted, one would not want mistakes -- inadvertent or just
tolerated -- to pervade one's posts, especially as future employers can
peruse the Internet and see what one has written. To my way of thinking,
one's writings are one's public persona. Would you wish to go to an event
wearing sloppy clothing or make-up or lipstick misapplied? I rather doubt
it. Thus, to some of us word-snobs, not correcting one's mistakes -- whether
from dictation or otherwise -- amounts to such behavior.
IMO it behooves us all to put our best feet forward, thus avoiding the
potential trap of people believing that we cannot write cleanly and without
mistakes due to our blindness.
Just one word-snob's opinion and not a judgment upon you but, rather, a
general comment.

By the way I think you're coming we did judgmental. I don't understand why
you need to be that way.

LOL I wouldn't want one because this thing can't tell the difference between
a piece of paper sack or anything else. It's just bumps into things. I can
bump into things and eat socks with my vacuum cleaner plus good exercise.
Why be that lazy?
