[Blindtlk] Question about SSI

You can't apply for S.S.I. online, that's an interview in the Social
Security Office and why the office waits any amount of time to set this
appointment up is beyond me. When I was born, a note to the effect of
permanent blindness got attached to my social security number and I'm
wondering why S.S.A. doesn't trust its own records in your case if such
a note or similar note got attached to your social security record. I
suggest you discuss this problem with staff at your blindness training
center since I think what will happen is you will be provided door to
door transportation to and from that appointment.
