I would like to point out that this thread started Monday or yesterday in
response to a message which was probably a year old. The person who wrote
that message is almost certainly not here to read any of the responses that
were written. If you are thinking of responding to an e-mail message, check
the date to see whether the message is recent enough that it warrants a
response.

Subject: [Blindtlk] List Behavior
There has been some "turmoil" on the list for a couple days. We are all
adults, at least most of us, and we should treat each other with respect and
kindness.
Each of us is coming from a different place, with different experiences.
Some of us have been blind for 50 or 60 years, others, not long at all. So,
you may consider a question to be stupid or pointless, but others will not.
If you think something is stupid, you don't have to say so, just ignore it,
and let someone else announce it.
We are all so sure we are right, I am guilty of this too. Just the other
day I said something like it doesn't matter why you are blind. To me it
doesn't, but to someone else it certainly does.
Everybody, let's help and support each other, and move on.
