[Blindtlk] Cane Gripping

No, the index finger was kept extended and on the flat part of the grip 
when I did my training for touch sensitivity.  The other fingers and 
part of the palm in back of the index finger were used for control.  It 
was like braille reading with the index finger and for the same reason.
