[Blindtlk] Driverless Cars

Hi, Vejas. That is an excellent concern. It must be balanced against the
fact that human drivers have heart attacks, text while driving, try to
discipline children in the backseat, and all kinds of things that cause over
50,000 accidents a year resulting in death. I seriously doubt we will be
able to implement a mechanized system that doesn't sometimes cost someone
his life. This is tragic, but it is part of existence as we know it.

Hi,
Although I respect peoples' desire for driverless cars, I would be concerned
about the possible malfunctioning of the technology.
Even if they have been tested many times, they could still shut down, just
like a computer. You could be on an Uber and a driverless car with
malfunctioning technology could crash into the vehicle.
That would be my main concern.
Vejas

Hi everyone,

Happy New Year!

What is your opinion of driver-less cars? Personally, I can't wait for their
arrival on the road! I'm totally blind from birth and would like the chance
to drive, just to feel what it feels like. My best friend, who happens to
be sighted, feels otherwise though.

How about you?
