[Blindtlk] "Love Leads the Way"

Love Leads the Way might be available on Apple TV. I am not certain,
but I believe Timothy bottoms played the part of Morris Frank. There is a
little sensationalism in the movie but not so much that it made me cringe.
In the mid 1920s, there were not too many people with good blindness skills.
I'm not sure of the accuracy of the details, but the movie depicted Morris
Frank as being an insurance salesperson who visited people in their homes to
sell them policies. Before he got a dog, he used a cane. Not sure if it was
white and not even sure if it was much more than a traditional support cane,
but he used it nonetheless. It also shared his efforts to get protections
for guide dog teams. In one scene, he asked a restaurant employee if he
could bring a dog in the restaurant. I don't remember the exact exchange,
but it seemd the employee said a dog would be unacceptable because of its
behavior. Morris said, "Then you would probably be surprised to know there
is a dog under the table!"

Fraternally yours,
Marion

 Inspired by the "OA" thread...

Has anyone seen this movie? It's one of my favorite ones and is about the
first guide dog. The acting is amazing. Although I haven't had this
confirmed by a sighted person, I think it shows the protagonist exercising
good blindness skills.
