[BlindTlk] Walking Directions

On your computer try asking Google for walking directions from address A to
Address B.


>From your phone.

You ask Google, Get Walking Directions To placename.

Then Google will announce getting quickest route, etc.  Then there is a
Start button near the middle right of the screen so once you start moving,
Google will tell you when to turn.

Note that this is not like a look-around feature if you are trying to learn
an area, as Google does not announce street names, so you have to know your
streets.  Google also calculates in miles, not blocks.

What you can do, though is choose the option of step by step directions,
instead of the Start button, and the step-by-step will pop up.

If you are looking for a good navigation app for blind, a lot of Android
users like GetThere.
