[BlindTlk] Braille Reading Speed

Ellen I never thought about it but that fact about not l reading out loud increases your braille reading speed. I think if you are new reader you have to do that just like preschoolers do when they are learning how to sound things out.. Later though when you are more used to feeling the darts you should be able to “hear“ the words in your head. I don’t know since I don’t remember ever reading aloud and print except when we Had to in school. When I started losing more vision I could still figure things out through context and then when I learn braille I could always figure out things to contact and never really took thought to the Reading aloud. I am by no means a fast real raider since I didn’t learn as a child. I think if you have a love for reading instilled in you anyhow it makes it easier. I struggle more with writing.
