If your phone has an app for the store you shop, nothing wrong with
finding the items on the phone and their prices since you'll get the
correct spelling for each item and a good idea of the price. You could
even total up the prices at home and have an idea what your shopping
trip is likely to cost at the store before you arrive.
Another good reason for doing this is blindness. I can search for items
and if they're in the inventory I may find items I had no idea were
available and because of that be able to buy those too.

The Customer Service representatives do not know what their customers need unless they shop with the same person on a regular basis. Before going shopping, I would recommend that you make a grocery list of the products that you use regularly along with the brands and quantities of each. This information is helpful for the individual who is assisting a customer with their shopping.
