[BlindTlk] The Trump administration has just declared war on Social Security – Raw Story

I think we need to find out more about what might actually happen. But I
keep hearing about all these scammers who rip off the system. Can anybody
really prove it? I keep hearing it but I never hear anything to back it up.
And why make it harder for everyone else who is not scamming the system?
And what about these megarich fat cats who just got this lovely tax giveaway
the Trump administration sold to Congress? A lot of that I'm sure is going
to stock holders, who don't actually work for these corporations instead of
to the employees, who actually do the work. Nobody seems to complain about
that. And do these megarich folks give back to the community? I don't know
but I rather doubt it in a lot of instances. So until that tax cut is
repealed, let's not propose making it harder for folks on SSDI or SSI. I
could say a lot of very unpleasant things about Trump and his
administration, boy is it hard to restrain myself, but I think I will
restrain myself because a lot of that stuff just wouldn't be appropriate for
these lists, nor would it be appropriate for polite company in general,
believe me. With that, I hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas.

Totally agree with you Jodi! There’s a lot of people who get hurt at work
and never try to find something else. They just immediately apply for
unemployment until they can get SSDI. I think those people are total
scammers if you ask me. Then they do something to earn more money under the
system by not reporting it. And then they go to every food bank and charity
to get “help”. Doesn’t matter whether they can see or not. I vote Democrat
but I certainly think there are ways that on the doctors level we could be
eliminating some of these cheaters. Dr. should be sending them to Volk rehab
or something before they’ll sign paperwork for SSDI.

Incidentally I believe I have a full-time job as activity coordinator for
those with dementia in a locked unit. It’s a building that has independent
living, assisted living and dementia care or memory care in the same
building. Totally excited! Will know more after Christmas.
