Thank you, Lloyd,

I do have the short cut in operation.  I'm in error, but I thought there was
a way to restart Jaws, similar to the way you can restart your phone, which
would, in effect, unload, then reload Jaws.

I did find out from Dennis that there is no actual way to do that, unless,
while the program is running, you do the Windows-R and type in the Jaws and
version number.

The keystroke to shut down JAWS from anywhere is insert-F4 if the insert key

is your JAWS key. Every time you get an update to JAWS it undefines the 
ctrl-alt-J hotkey that starts JAWS back up. If I have two or 3 versions of 
JAWS on my desktop, I put an exclamation mark or something in front of the J

so that, if I go to the desktop and hit J when I have no feedback from a 
screen reader, I will start the version of JAWS that I want to use. Also 
note that by default names like JAWS 18 and JAWS 2019 have a space between 
the S and the first digit.

Thanks, but that just takes you to the Jaws window, it does not restart
Jaws.

jawskey-alt-F4 to close Jaws, but I am not remembering the combination for
